World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade feature for items allows players to upgrade their equipment. This can be accomplished by any item upgrader NPC.
Generally, upgrades boost an item's main stat and can give it extras depending on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for caster builds.
Armour

Weapons

Utility Items
Utility items are any equipment that doesn't fall under the categories of Armor or Clothing and are able to perform a variety of capabilities. Utility items are not compatible with each other, in contrast to Armor or Weapons. Most utility items have a passive effect that players can activate while using them. However, some have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button or triggering the skill.
The Flashlight is the most popular accessory. It illuminates the area around it. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Many utility items can be instantly created in the Engineering section, while others are unlockable through research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to those they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded to allow more effective use.
Most utility items enhance an individual combat ability or give the player some sort of advantage in navigation. Sharpening stones, created by the Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity. Maintenance Oils, made by the Huntsman can increase concentration and healing power. Other items of utility can be used by players to boost Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip one utility item to begin the campaign. An additional slot is available once you have completed certain engineering, research, or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
