WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for the latter due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrade r allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.
You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. For item upgrading upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which displays a preview of the item when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Many locations offer item upgraders, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.
In Season 3, several new features have been added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a certain item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will be less expensive, even if they are part of a different gear set.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests

Players have a number of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more special, and are used during specific level upgrades for items. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.
First, you should know that crests are only available for gear of a certain rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons of all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the item such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. item upgrades is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest level possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
Another notable change is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with high-quality gear.
